Empowered Pinays community was founded on January 26, 2021 by Ms. Genah Evangelista, a Filipino-American entrepreneur based in California, USA.

In 2020, many people lost their loved ones, their jobs, and their businesses around the world. Fortunately, the Levered Company was one of the businesses that pivoted and rose during the global crisis that happened during this year.

The Levered Company is a business management consulting firm in North Hollywood, California, co-founded by Ms. Genah Evangelista a.k.a Boss G. During their pivotal stage while helping the Filipino community in mind, she decided to integrate a system as part of their services to help and serve their clients, called the (BOSS) Backend Office Support Solution.

The BOSS became the gateway to provide a career to the Filipino people on an international level, giving them an opportunity to work from home with a family environment and a great company culture. A business decision that leads to a bigger purpose.

From there, Empowered Pinays was born. An online community started on Facebook, providing monthly online training, projects and challenges to help Filipina women to enhance their creativity, gain skills, knowledge and confidence to constantly improve themselves, despite their status, level of education, and background at no cost.

In 2021, the community introduced paid projects and challenges with the goal to help 100 women. It gave opportunities for women in the group to get incentivized and get paid while learning and staying at home. A total of 109 women benefited from this empowerment movement. Some excelled and are now currently working from home professionally with Boss G and her team at Levered Company.

Last year, we initiated the process of using a hybrid approach. We held our first in person event and started our outreach project to reach greater impact to uplift each other and to empower others outside our organization. That’s when we realized, we are more than just a community, we are Empowered Pinays!

Today, we continue to provide free trainings and workshops online and offline. We created two unique programs, the Empowered Pinays Inner Circle (EPIC) program designed to teach and help women in the Philippines to confidently start, grow, and scale their own businesses, and the BOSS Program, designed to breed professional virtual assistant entrepreneurs to start and grow their work from home careers.
